Yes, you are eligible to use your Medicare skilled nursing benefits under Medicare Part A following a qualifying hospital stay, a long as a skilled service (such as therapy) is being rendered.

This depends on your insurance plan. If you admit under Medicare Part A, Medicare will cover 100% of your costs for your first 20 days. After that point, the amount of your daily co-pay will depend on the amount covered in your specific insurance plan.

You can stay as long as you receive a skilled service. If your skilled service is therapy, you can stay until you achieve your goals, have returned to your prior level of functioning, or have stopped making progress.

This is determined upon admission after you are evaluated by therapy and have established goals, but most receive therapy twice a day up to 3 hours a day.

Yes, there is therapy half a day on Saturday. No therapy on Sundays.

Yes; we offer private and semi-private rooms.

Your medications are covered during your skilled nursing or short-term rehab stay.

Each room comes with a phone and television with cable.

We do laundry for long term care, but we do ask that family take care of laundry for short-term stays.

You’ll need comfortable, loose fitting clothing. Here are some suggestions: 5-6 pairs of slacks (elastic waistbands are best), 5-6 tops (less buttons are best), rubber-soled shoes (tennis or walking shoes), 6 pairs of socks, 2-4 changes of nightwear, 3 bras, slippers or house shoes with non-slip soles, warm sweater or jacket, grooming articles (toiletries…shampoo, deodorant, etc.)

Visiting hours for rehab are: Monday-Friday 3pm-8pm, Saturday 12noon-8pm, Sunday 10am-8pm. Visiting hours for long term are Sunday-Saturday 10am-8pm

Yes, we provide transportation to your follow-up appointments.

Medicare, Medicaid, HMO’s; please contact our business office for specifics as we are currently expanding our network to include more plans.

Doctors are encouraged to follow their own patients here as long as they are credentialed by Gadsden Health & Rehab to participate.
